About Wivenhoe Kitchen

Hello.  We are Bev & Julie and we run Wivenhoe Kitchen, a relatively new business that is located at 6 Brook House, in the Wivenhoe Business Centre in Brook Street.

 

As the name suggests, our business is all about food and good eating.  We make home cooked, seasonal, plant-based vegan food using ingredients sourced from local producers as much as possible.  We make savoury pastries, main courses, side dishes, and sweet treats.  We also sell coffee, regular and herbal teas.  Our menu changes each week.  We freeze the main dishes and keep a stock of these meals.  We advertise the menu on our website and social media pages and suggest that food is pre-ordered by Thursday each week in order that we guarantee you get the food you would like on the Friday.  We also advise that you get your orders in early as our most popular dishes often sell out quickly. Alternatively, customers are very welcome to come to the kitchen on Friday mornings and see what dishes we have available.  We are open from 9-2. We use recyclable, biodegradable or compostable containers for everything that we sell. 

 
We offer a small number of free home deliveries on Friday mornings to customers who live locally in Wivenhoe.  Customers who live outside of Wivenhoe have the option of either collecting directly from us or using the Colchester e cargo bike delivery service which offers home delivery to addresses within a 4.5 mile radius of Colchester High Street.  Deliveries from this service cost just £3.  The contact details for this service are Lee Pugh, 07852 958953 or email hello@ecargobikecolchester.com

 

As our opening hours are relatively short, we can be flexible if you would like to collect an order outside of these hours. 

 

We are also able to cater for private functions so do call if you think this is something that you might be interested in.

 

In addition to the website, we also have an Instagram page (@wivenhoekitchen) and a Facebook page that are regularly updated with the food we have on offer.  

 

Payment can be either via our website, by card reader or cash.
