The School is set in over 170 acres of beautiful landscaped gardens and extensive woodland close to the town centre of High Wycombe. On the edge of the Chiltern Hills is quick, easy access to Oxford and London and only 30 minutes from Heathrow Airport.
About the Course
The Programme has been designed to be:
Immersive: the best way to improve language skills whilst learning new knowledge, making new friends and experiencing boarding life

The Programme is 2 weeks and includes:
15 hours of language lesson per week
Increase confidence in spoken English;
Enhance creative and collaborative skillset;
Practice presentation design, delivery, and debating skills;
Build and broaden English vocabulary;
Boost understanding of different texts and media;
Improve English skills and systems – from lexis and pronunciation to reading and writing;
Develop power skills (soft skills) to succeed in the modern world. • All lessons delivered in Dyslexia friendly format
English Lessons: 3 hours every morning (except when on full day excursions)
The immersive programme consists of 3 English language topics:
• English for Academic Purposes and Examinations
• British Culture
• 21st Century Skills
We apply content and language-integrated learning methodology to the teaching, allowing students to learn and develop their language proficiency whilst studying a range of interesting and relevant topics. The teachers adopt a problem-based learning model to encourage students to use and develop their language skills to complete real-life tasks and challenges.
Electives: 2 hours every afternoon (except when on excursions)
Each one of our electives is designed to stretch and challenge our students so they learn, develop and grow in confidence whilst focusing on a subject that is important to them. The 4 electives are: •
Leadership & Sustainability (embark on a transformative journey delving into essential leadership skills while exploring sustainability principle)
Coding & Game Design ( delve deeper into the world of coding, robotics & game design improving critical & creative thinking skills)
Performing Arts ( take a captivating journey through the realms of creativity and expression)
Sports, Health & Wellbeing ( this transformative course integrates language development with the essential principle of physical health, mental wellbeing and importance of adopting an active lifestyle

About the School
The campus has excellent facilities, including specialist classrooms, a large sports centre with a swimming pool, fitness centre and sports halls, first-class boarding houses, extensive outdoor sports facilities and a newly refurbished performing arts centre.
Accommodation
Students live in their newest residential boarding houses, Pitt and Rubens. The accommodation offers bedrooms for two to four students, and every bedroom has an ensuite bathroom. The kitchens are well-equipped, and there are common areas for relaxing at the start and end of the day. The accommodation also benefits from outdoor space for the summer.
Catering
During their stay at Wycombe Abbey, students are provided with all meals, breakfast, lunch and dinner in the main school dining room along with nutritional snacks throughout the day. Packed lunches are available for excursion days. Caterers are able to cater for dietary requirements and ensure that all meals are healthy and nutritious.

Full day trip to London with a ride on the London Eye, a walking tour of iconic landmarks, and a visit to the British Museum
Full day trip to Oxford with a guided tour and college visit
Full day trip to Cambridge with a guided tour and a university visit
Half day trip to Windsor and Windsor Castle
Half day trip to London with the National Gallery and a theatre show
The excursions will be both educational as well as entertaining.
Sports & Activities:
Sports and Activities take place in the afternoons and evenings. Students will have use of the schools sports facilities including 25m swimming pool, large sports centre, dance studio, climbing wall & golf simulator. Each day there will be time available for sports and activities.
